You have unique narrative style. The way you describe objects is natural and detailed. I can also see the intimate relationship between Victor and Rhia in their dialogues.

One thing I noticed is that you asked some questions in between the story. It's a good writing style and a nice way to keep readers engaged, however, sometimes it is also good to just let them came up with their own, unless it is crucial for you to lead them to think about an absolute answer:)

All in all, a great opening chapter!
