用典能讓文本 (詩、散文、小說、戲劇⋯⋯) 增加維度，但也容易造成讀者的困惑，因為可能不知道指涉的是什麼。
有些作者用典是為了致敬 (不是只有模仿原作才叫致敬)、表達愛意 (哈哈～)、顯示自己的學識 (＝掉書袋)⋯⋯不管用意如何，能增加文章厚度和趣味，我認為就是好的用典。
