是的，謝老爺不止對謝夫人沒什麼感情，對兩位姨娘也同樣感情淡薄，這點後面蘭茵與袁姨娘的遭遇明顯能見。
謝老爺的觀點很多都是對的，比如他覺得蘭芝被謝夫人寵壞，這點完全沒錯，可是對辛苦維持府裡開銷的夫人直接說顯得無情。
