在讀的時候腦海一直出現「海盜戰記」的既視感，非常鮮明的特色。
海盜戰記也是用了約姆維京為藍本的傭兵團，史實上根據一些盧恩碑文和傳說確實也是有參與英格蘭征伐，不過關於他們的記述還真的不是很多。
