The sun shone brightly over a grassy plain as the leaves blew slightly by the sudden large gusts of wind during the day. A cottage over the side of the grassy plains next to a mountain stood firmly as if it had endured multiple years on end. A boy and his father played heartedly under the sun with almost no care in the world.
''Try to catch this one son!'' exclaimed the father as he threw a ball in the boy's direction. The boy with his hands outstretched managed to grab the ball after making a slight leap in the air. With the ball firmly in his hand the son exclaimed
''I got it Dad! I got it haha!''
As he raced towards his father who had waited with arms outstretched as he grabbed his son and raised him upwards.
''That's my boy, you have to be strong always because I and your mother might not always be with you like this. But always remember to keep moving through it all, you got it?'' said the father looking into his son's eyes.
His son smiled and nodded.
''Ok Dad.... but we'll always be together though right?'' asked the son. The father simply grinned as his face started to fade bit by bit until it couldn't be seen anymore as an eerie blackness soon smothered his body and around the boy till his vision was gone ''DAD!DAD! DAD!!!!!'' cried the boy as he found himself alone in an empty space.
Ras opened his eyes abruptly as sweat ran profusely down his face, as he looked around himself in return his gaze met nothing but rocky structures that surrounded him within a cave. ''Ah it was just another one huh,'' he said with a sigh of relief as he got up from the stone slab, he had been sleeping on. Ras stood up slowly while he stretched his arms, a long nap like that had left him sore. After he proceeded to scout for his tools and equipment, he prepared to exit the cave. ''Better get moving then, it would suck if I was spotted here.'' He said as he climbed his way out of the cave with a ladder he had made upon his arrival and quickly exited out onto the surface above. Ras stood in the midst of an almost desert-like area with nothing that could be seen afar. He smiled acknowledging that there were no sudden changes around the area after he decided to settle within it. ''If I'm lucky I can find my target before nightfall.'' he said while snickering as he bolted at an absurd speed, traversing the desert plane with ease while observing the surroundings even further as to not miss anything that may have prompted some attention.
Almost out of the area he was in Ras felt a slight shift in the air ''Oh what could that be?'' he wondered before a large projectile smashed into his path launching debris along with smoke from the sand after its collision with the ground. ''A bit off much?'' said Ras as he stood still with the weapon only inches away from his side, Ras looked at the object which barely missed him, its shape was that of a spear and had a white colouring to it as it stuck firmly into the ground. ''Now where did you come from, I wonder?'' said Ras looking around for the source of the attack,
''DAMMIT I MISSED!!!'' exclaimed a voice from the distance as a cloaked figure appeared in front of him as if out of thin air. Ras glanced at the figure before him and smiled ''Ah so this belongs to you I presume.'' he said pointing at the spear next to him, the figured had its face blocked by the hood it wore as it appeared to be staring Ras down.
It was a bit shorter than him and had an almost slender physique while wearing heavy clothing due the conditions of the area they were in. The figure raised its arm and pointed at Ras in an almost triumphant manner, as it spoke again in a much too loud tone.
''RAS BONDREWD MERCENARY OF THE GALLOWS, FOR YOUR CRIMES AGAINST THE KEEPERS AND THE STATE OF GAEL YOU ARE TO FACE JUDGEMENT BY THE HANDS OF THE COUNCIL!!''
Ras with a sigh asked ''And who is my supposed captor if I may I ask?'' as he stood in a mocking posture. The figure took its hood off revealing the face of a young girl.
''I normally wouldn't give my name to a criminal like you but I'll have to let you know who it was that defeated you......my name is Lena Basterbine a Knight under the Keepers of Gael and the one who will bring you to....JUSTICE!!!'' she yelled as she leaped into the air with her arm outstretched as white light amassed over it to form into a new spear which she held out ready to pierce her opponent.
''Guess were doing this, mom always said never to miss curfews so I'll make this quick for the both of us.'' said Ras with his hands in his pockets.
