To catch snowflakes as they fell

In the distance, the faint song of sleigh bells

Winter was here once more

Night ruling the sky longer

Stars whisper within

The quiet northern winds

            It is almost time to come home

To dance with them

No longer will I be alone

This world so still, so quiet

Trees not green, but gray

Not a hint of color in sight
