The hunger slithered through the houses

Snapping at the residences 

Suffering slithered through the houses 

Suffocating the residences 

What is there to do

When the ground wont grow

The fields aren’t fertile 

What is there to do 

When nature denies 

What 

Love slithered through the houses 

Comforting the residences 

Hope slithered through the houses 

Surrounding the residences 

For all things must end 

And plants must grow 

Food slithered through the houses 

Ending the famine
