She still had a large scar across her abdomen from a time when her father kicked her into the corner of the Coffee Table.
She shook her head at the memory, and opened the mirror. It was the front of their medicine cabinet, she grabbed a bottle of pills, and gazed at it. She let out another shuddering breath. Would she do this, could she do this? She realized that she had no choice anymore, her mind was made up.
She opened the bottle, and shut her eyes tightly. She opened her mouth and downed all the pills. She thought of her life, Its not like she made anything of herself, so the world will not lose anything by her leaving. Its not like any one would be around to miss her, Nick walked out, told her he hated her.
Hours later Nick returned to the house. He held a bouquet of roses, and a heart shaped box of chocolate. In his pocket sat a ring. He planned to apologise to her, and beg for her forgiveness, then he would propose, he didn't mean anything he said, she was the love of his life, He would do anything for her.
He looked around, Not seeing her anywhere. In the past months they had escaped. They ran as far as they could, until one day they stopped. They settled down, and tried to build a life. Nick started working, while Amy stayed in the house. He loved her, He did everything for her. He made sure she ate regularly. He was going to save her. He walked through the house, she was nowhere to be found.
He opened the door to the bathroom, and looked at the sight of the dead girl. He dropped to his knees, and held her, forgetting all about the chocolate and flowers. This couldn't be happening. It wasn't fair, none of this was fair. He cradled her head, staring down into her hollow blue eyes.
He shook his head, She was gone. His love was gone. He gently placed her head back down, and stumbled out of the bathroom. He made his way to the bedroom, and opened the closet, and got in a shoebox. He pulled out the gun he bought for protection. Just in case her father came looking for him.
He walked back, and cradled her head once again, he leaned down, placing a tentative, and gentle kiss on her lips. One last time, he closed her eyes.
