技工心血來潮買了個算盤。

算盤是在住處附近的文具舖買的。老闆把存貨藏在貨架底暗處，看來是乏人問津，乾脆騰出空間展示別的貨品。包裝也很簡單，就是一個透明膠袋。算盤本身是個很普通的中式二五算盤，有十三個數位，文具舖老闆謂之「中國算」。

算盤造工很粗糙。木框就是幾根木條用金屬片和金屬釘固定，內裏有沒有黏膠倒是看不出。木框上的黑色保護漆並不均勻，有厚有薄，有滴漏，也有微細氣泡。木框內則還有些位置沒有塗漆，暴露出紅木。鋸木留下的凹凸尖刺也沒有銼平，就這樣留着，完全不顧安全。
