Mira stepped toward him.

The room shifted subtly in awareness.

Even Nyx went quiet.

Snape’s eyes narrowed slightly, “…Mira.”

Mira held out a second box.

Snape did not take it immediately.

“…You should not feel obligated—”

“I am not,” Mira interrupted calmly.

That made him pause.

Mira wrapped her arms around Snape's waist which surprised him. Then he slowly wrapped his arm around her and gently rubbed her back.

"Thank you, Little Serpent." Snape whispered.

"You're welcome, Uncle Sev." Mira whispered back.

Elarisse looked between Mira and Snape as Mira let go of Snape.

Softly.

“Memory is powerful,” she said.

Nyx leaned back slightly, “…That might be the understatement of the century.”

Korrin nodded once, “It preserves what time tries to soften.”

Caelum added quietly, “…Or erase.”

Mira returned to her seat.

Phaedra rested near the window seat, gazing at the Silverthorne family members.

The Lionheart Medallion was warm against Mira's chest.

Not glowing.

Not reacting strongly.

But steady.

Satisfied.

Isolde leaned toward her slightly, “…Those were… a lot.”

Mira nodded.

“Yes.”

A pause.
