Most students avoided the upper levels of Ravenclaw Tower during evenings unless they belonged there.

But because the tower possessed a peculiar stillness after dark.

As though the walls themselves were thinking.

And tonight—

Pip and Briony were behaving suspiciously.

The moment both Nifflers began exchanging excited chirps over dinner, she had known something was coming.

Pip squeaked happily.

“That was not praise,” Draco informed him.

Dumbledore chuckled quietly from behind the desk.

Then his gaze shifted back toward Mira.

Toward the earrings.

Toward the silver wings gleaming softly beneath the candlelight.

“You continue to gather the forgotten pieces of Hogwarts,” he said gently.

Mira was quiet for a moment.

Then:

“No.”

The room looked at her.

She glanced down at Briony and Pip.

“At this point,” she said softly, “I think Hogwarts is finding me first.”
