The Founders’ Compass began to move again three nights later.

Mira felt it before she saw it.

Then sideways somehow, through a narrow stairwell hidden inside the base of an abandoned clock tower.

Dust coated the ancient stone.

The air smelled faintly of parchment and lavender.

And magic.

Old magic.

Not dark.

Not dangerous.

But thoughtful.

Draco slowed as the Compass glowed brighter, “…This feels different from Slytherin’s library.”

Mira nodded softly, “It does.”

Salazar’s hidden chambers had felt grounded.

Heavy.

Inside the office, nearly everyone had already gathered.

Dumbledore stood beside his desk.

McGonagall and Snape occupied the space near the fire.

Professor Sprout sat beside Flitwick, both speaking quietly with Myraleth.

Ragnok and Griphook stood together near one of the tall windows while Professor Binns floated silently through a bookshelf, studying a dusty title upside down.

Alaric Silverthorne turned first when Mira entered.

His blue eyes immediately narrowed in concern, “…You found something.”

Draco snorted softly, “That’s becoming a dangerous sentence around us.”

Mira carefully stepped into the center of the office, “Yes.”

The room quieted instantly.

Even the silver instruments on Dumbledore’s desk seemed to still themselves.

Slowly, Mira unwrapped the silver cloth.

Soft light spilled immediately into the office.

Draco glanced over, “You do?”

The lantern’s light flickered softly across his sharp features.

“Knowledge shared becomes legacy.”

Silence settled briefly.

Then suddenly—

Professor Binns drifted directly through the lantern.

The glowing animals scattered wildly.

The lion ran into the serpent.

The badger vanished entirely.

Everyone stared.

Snape finally spoke from near the fire.

his voice held no skepticism.

“Appropriate,” he said quietly.

Everyone looked toward him.

His dark gaze rested briefly on Mira.

“For the child who keeps finding ways to bring people together.”

The office fell silent again after that.

Not awkward.

Just thoughtful.

Warm.

Then the lantern drifted slowly back down into Mira’s waiting hands.

And for a brief moment—

the four founders appeared faintly within the light itself.

Godric Gryffindor.

Salazar Slytherin.

Standing together.

Watching quietly.

Proudly.

Then the vision faded like candlelight into dawn.
