But to be honest when I sit back and look, all I see is a flowing mist of energy colours from every thought to each decision they make. And in all my years of people watching i have tried my best to master this skill but even i can admit i still have a lot to learn due to the fact everything is ever changing and people are evolving every second so nobody will ever truly be a dominus, however some of my other hobbies consist or learning languages and instruments and so far my favourite languages are latin, french, and korean i frequently find myself switching words for the latin translation as it just seems magical. My favourite instruments are the piano and the violin but those aren’t the only ones I speak or play as I've been around for a long time ive have the liberty to travel and learn everything the world can offer.114Please respect copyright.PENANAKwKrsroKl6

I can see their past, present, and what they are likely to become, meaning I have dropped some friends before we truly became friends, even so in this little coffee shop I have found some of the most interesting people of this year. 114Please respect copyright.PENANApXUQBHxjYP

I can or so see higher and lower beings which I try to avoid the higher ones due to the fact they often have a darker side which you don't want to get caught up in. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAJW5etGAafU
By my sixth cup of hot coffee mid day was on the rise and my cup fell from my hand as a radiant girl in her twenties came through the glass door, her hair was an ombre of a blue from the roots and it faded half way down the long bob cut into a dull hot pink it wasn’t obnoxious nor neon it was ashy and faded while still looking intentional, fresh and new. Her hair matched her style she was wearing a plain white T-shirt under a flower embroidered denim jacket and jeans painted in an eighty’s flower child flower pattern, large happy flowers with simile faces and the peace sign above pastel rainbows and paint splatters, even her shoes were flower embroidered navy blue high top converse. 114Please respect copyright.PENANA7MXX90lmkZ
Her hair fell covering her face as she looked down to rummage through her embroidered tote bag looking for something but when she pulled out her teal wallet she had turned and walked to the counter. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAt5MNLzleKr

Her style was extremely different from mine as today i haden’t brushed my shoulder length shaggy wolf cut my black hair was seriously lacking next to her popping colours we did have one point in common though we both had a fringe, other than that completely different i was in my comfortable my chemical romance band t-shirt under my oversized knitted black button up cardigan with my faded black ripped jeans and my black polished doc martins even her pastel nails were the total opposite of my deep wine red ones. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAYbdrj0gn6q

The barista named Carly had seen me spill my cup and now had rushed over with a towel and napkins eager to see if I was alright. She was asking repeatedly, “Eva, are you okay?” and when I didn't reply the fifth time she asked she waved her hand over my vision and called, “Earth to Eva! Hello? Earth to Evangeline!” I snapped out of my trance and back to reality shaking my head and was startled by Carly being too close. I practically jumped, “Jesus christ Carl!” I said trying to play off how startled I had been. “Girl you seemed out of it like hella distracted? What were you looking at?” Carly said now looking around the coffee shop looking for the person I had been entranced by, and she seemed to spot her almost instantly. “Ohh my god were you entranced by Lillianne!” Carly squealed over excitedly. I didn’t reply not wanting to fuel carly’s over excitement as her energy glow was growing close to blinding but i couldn’t shealed my eyes by covering them of putting on sunglasses because unfortunately outside it looked like it was about to rain and if anyone was paying close attending they would find it highly suspicious that i was covering my eyes from none existent light and after all these years I wasn't going to get exposed now, not after all my hard work. Never staying in the same place long enough to be recognized i was running high risk having carly expect me every morning in this seat ordering my coffee but i couldn’t live without it and my hobby of people watching helps me learn so i can’t just stop my life because its never ending. I just have to be constantly on the look out, aware of my surroundings and leave if there is anyone suspicious nearby that seems to be watching me. I had my routine. I could stay for a month, maybe three if I'm lucky and stay under the radar because by then they will have caught up. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAyVRvxgN1uU

Carly was now spinning on the spot drawing attention in an attempt to calm her. I guided her to sit in the chair opposite to me and I said, “I haven't noticed her in here before.” But in my racing mind all I could think about was the electric purple and gold aura trailing behind her. If I were to be around that it would be intoxicating and calming all at once, I needed to be introduced but there was no real way to do that. 114Please respect copyright.PENANApVncB6gpZI

Carly was now avidly staring at me, I couldn't show too much excitement as there was no telling who was around as i was short for time as i needed to get to the other side of town to open the bookshop otherwise Margret the little old lady who owned the shop would have a heart attack and Matilda her granddaughter didn't need that on top of everything else in her life she was only young. “Carly, does she come in here often?” I asked, feeling increasingly stupid. Carly didn’t reply and made my mind do backflips, so I raised my voice slightly and called her by her full name, “Caroline!” which instantly got her attention and her reply put my mind into planning action “She does come in quite often, every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch. Come to think of it, this Monday morning visit is out of her ordinary.” She was a creature of habit then, which just intrigued me more. Sadly I had no time to dwell as I looked the the large clock on the wall and I knew I would just scrape opening time if I left now I tried to say goodbye to Carly but she insisted that I take a chocolate chip croissant because apparently I forget to eat which wasn't totally untrue but every doctor I have been to through the years have said I was perfectly healthy granted I never allowed any tests that would put me in permanent lists like blood tests or anything and I was careful not to get into accidents and the two times I have in the past I managed to get away before medical professionals arrived and dragged my sorry butt to a free clinic where I got patched up and cleaned off before going to rest. Being immortal doesn't mean I'm an axolotl if you were to cut of my arm it wouldn't regenerate or something crazy but I do heal minor wounds with some sleep and if its something like a paper cut it takes roughly twenty minutes to close and heal fully which comes in handy working around books. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAVfMQZ8eYmu

When I had finally run out of the coffee shop and across town taking every short cut I knew, having no time to take in the beautiful sun as it was truly a nice day otherwise I would be late. I was so out of breath as I unlocked the green wooden single pane sage glass door I was panting like a dog on a hot day. 114Please respect copyright.PENANANCMr2JvGUh
The shop was so refreshing as the cool air washed over me making my body involuntarily shiver. I closed the door behind me and called out, “Hello?” as sometimes matilda margrets granddaughter gets in before me, even if the front is locked. There was no answer so i flicked on the lights and started my checks, i turned on the cash register and the window lights i finished sweeping the floors and then decided to take an inventory check on the books lining the shelves when Tilly came through the door skipping excitedly carrying a box her glowing pink aura was pulsing, “Hay Evangeline, guess what!” she said, placing the box on the counter struggling to take the tape off to open it. I had no desire to hear about one of her latest boyfriends but I asked anyway, “What am I guessing?” Tilly then spun in a spot her aura glowing brighter which I immediately thought to note to never introduce her to Carly otherwise I would need to wear a hundred pairs of sunglasses. “You’ll never guess.” she giggled, my patience running low i tried my best to sound cheery, “Then tell me Tilly, what happened?” She finally got the box open and pulled out a bell. That was seriously anti-climactic. “It’s a bell?” I pointed out not seeing any significance. “It's from Jack.” She said, fluttering her eyes. “So does this Jack have a last name or is he going to become one of the nameless which i give a nick name to?” i asked knowing her history with guys, they saw her waist length pin straight light blond hair which in a lot of lights looked white and they saw her soft features with the pail colourful clothing quite often light pink, baby blue, and pastel yellow which made her look like a goddess and her figure did not help in the slightest she looked like an anima courtesangirl which wasn’t an insult it just made every guy fall for her which then led to many heart breaks after all she being the innocent type made her naive and only want love which seriously was unrealistic like dont get me wrong it can happen but it's not something to set your life on even though many people do it wasn’t something i would be searching for its like destiny if it happens it happens but not for Tilly she went out ang got hurt often but seemed to never let it get to her after the long weekend we would spend with Carly watching old 80s and 90s romance movies in my studio she would be back out there finding a new guy and it was a vicious cycle as none would last longer than a month or two. I had clearly zoned out because when I turned my attention back to Tilly she looked annoyed which happened often when there wasn’t someone paying attention to her, “His name is Jack, Jack Drew and he is different.” she said now admiring the bell, it wasn’t like i had herd that line before its always thins one is different or this one is special or my favourite is when she says this one gets me because none of them truly understand her they hardly know her but she would never listen about taking a break for love as her go to defence is love waits for no one and every time those words go through my head its like i can hear her voice and now i could hear her voice, “I know you won't approve and so you don't have to meet him but love waits for nobody,” I've been waiting for centuries and love is probably still waiting, im just really skilled at dodging the calls. “So what are you going to do with the bell?” I asked, not sure if I care or not, "I'm going to get Elis to put it above the door so we can hear when customers come through the door.” she said now putting the bell back in the box, “You mean elis as is the handy man who really isn't handy?” I had no patience for this guy. He made more issues than he fixed which left me to clean up the mess which was quite often a toppled row of book cases because he had fallen off his ladder fixing a light bulb and those shelves aren’t light in any sense of the word.

“You two should really try to get along, you know he isn’t that bad.” she seriously says this every time she mentions him he is insufferable and clumsy, “Well just keep him away from the shelves. I want to take an inventory check.” I tried to convey no excitement behind my words as I knew if I sounded too eager she would want to help. “He will only be by the door putting up the bell and then Gran wants us all to go to lunch.” She sounded so sure he would cause no trouble but I knew it would never be as simple as him just putting up the bell, “If you say so,” I said disappearing into the shelves.
I made my way through the sections pretty quickly as i knew the place in and out like a second home and i had gotten to section Q when there was a major crash out front, i dropped the book i had picked up along with my clipboard and ran to see if everyone was okay, “What is going on?” I spluttered. Rounding the last shelf Elis stood next to Tilly looking at a spilled box of books and the toppled ladder. “I’m serious Tilly, he is such a mess!” I moaned, taking charge and righting the ladder, “Help me collect the books!” I groaned, getting on my hands and knees to put them back in the box. We collected all three hundred copies and as I went back to the shelves I murmured just loud enough for Tilly to hear, “Be careful."
Picking up the book I had dropped it was Angel to Demon by queller nevaeh, placing it back on the shelf it reminded me of why I was here and it made me remember I would have to move and leave this all behind again soon. The ongoing war between the demons and angels was dwindling the pure immortal race and if you got on the wrong side of either of the races they would assume you were a spy and they would make it their mission to hunt you down and end you permanently. The war had been going on for centuries the angels saw free will as a threat and that for harmony people should be guided to be the best versions of themselves but the demons believed free will was perfect and should be left alone even though the free will created wars among the humans and they became un stable and so the pure immortals said they would blend in with society and become mediators but when wars happened anyway the angels blamed the demons and the demons blamed the angels for trying to use their powers to stop them. It is almost as if the immortal races are the parents to the world but they got divorced and the pure immortals are the marriage councillors trying to settle things equally but failing they both wants what is best for the world but are going about it the entirely wrong way and will slowly destroy each other and in doing so they will also destroy the world. I pissed of the demon realm when i was on a scouting mission for a secret society of pure immortals calls the Equilibrium they are the elite of what is left of are race but when we were escaping my friend got caught in a trap and when i got her out they found us i hid her and was caught but i had learned to defend myself a long time before and so when they let their guard down i did some things i wasnt proud of and got away resulting in a successful mission but i was now being hunted by demons. The brightside being I have not run into any angel sub-race so I am only an enemy to one side of the war, it is never pleasant to think about as I wiped the tear from my eye as Tilly found me staring at a book. I was startled. I stood up a little too straight for what would be perceived as normal and Tilly clearly seemed suspicious, “You're coming to lunch with us you spend too much time with these books.” It wasn't a question and when she got in this mood there was no arguing with her.
She dragged me into the bright sunshine to where Elis was stood on the street corner, “I ordered us a car as you requested Till’s,” he called as we joined him and he gave Tilly back her phone, she beamed and turned to me and said, “You need to lighten up, it's a beautiful day you should smile more.” My face was clearly reflecting my inner thoughts again.

The car came and we bundled into the back where I was squished in between them. It was a highly uncomfortable ride as I was so relieved to get out of the car when we pulled up outside a tea shop. There was a glass balcony garden on the roof where people were sipping tea from fine china, it was definitely somewhere Margaret would come and spend time. Tilly took both mine and Elis’s hands and pulled us towards the glass door the massive window looked into a miniature ballroom filled with rows of white cloth round tables laden with china cake towers stacked with finger cucumber sandwiches, with matching white wooden pink ribboned chairs tucked up creating a pristine high society atmosphere even the chandeliers on the ceilings were glistening like diamond and shiny as if brand new. Tilly pushed open the door and they filed in turning heads Eils was still in his work overalls and im very sure nobody would wear jeans and all black to a place like this, the staring did not bother me as I had long grown indifferent to other people's opinion of my fashion, if i was going to live forever there was no time to care what other people thought of me otherwise it was going to feel even longer than eternity.
Everyone in that room had a small glowing shade of royal blue aura or a variation of the deep blue which made me realize they were most definitely all high society men and women at some event which nobody would have actually communicated about and yet everyone would still be expected to attend, most definitely something frivolous and unimportant i thought to myself knowing all to well what these people were like i stuck close to Tilly as she greeted everyone as they made their way up to the roof top and were escorted to a table overlooking the river where Margret sat sipping tea from a blue bird fine china tea cup.
