"I'm out of words and have nothing to say, and that's a first." he says, glaring up at the moon. He walks down the street, clad in a suit of black and white, and as he walks, there is a calming wind, blowing in his face and making itself known by gently pushing at his jacket to follow its direction. He's feels as though he's been dealt a blow undeserved on his part, what was he than a simple man trying to earn a living to get by in this world that places value on everything. His car he's dreaming to have one day, a house to call his own, the new smart phone he's gotten just to keep up with people he he's not sure he wants to be around. His friends who he feels make him the loneliest man on the planet despite their namesake, his family he needs to speak with more, but as a result of the contraptions he pays for he feels like that very wind that blew in his direction, unnoticed.
This isn't the first time he's been walking down the street, it is however, the first time he hasn't a thing to ponder over. No desire he seeks, no thought intrigues, no words he wants to give, a second glance. Today is the first day he is completely….empty. The wind has had enough of his ignorance, she carries a sound. He hears a faint bark. He walks further. He hears it stronger the more he walks. He is almost home when he hears the strong "ARF" calling his attention. He has ten more houses to walk by, and he knows each one by heart. He walks to the first house. Nothing extraordinary, just a normal two story house, coated in yellow, with an orange roof. The sound is strongest here.
Dovin, is the name of the puppy this sound belongs to. Shaggy with brown and gray fur, a proud little briard. A loud, stupid dog he absolutely hates and doesn't consider to be of canine classification that today, isn't the least bit aggravating to him. He stares at Dovin, aware of the relationship they share, realizing that this dog is within centimeters of him. Dovin draws near, sniffs his shoes, looks up at him and pants, tail wagging. He stretches his hand out and pats the dog's head. He can tell that he has made this dog happy, despite their history.
He leaves and Dovin barks again, calling for his attention, he pays none and travels on. Too tired to turn back, but not tired enough to think of their stark differences. Dovin isn't a liar of feelings, he is brave, he is kind and has all the time in the world. If he is lonely, he barks for attention. He can get by with what he needs to live. Dovin is all that he is not even one bit of. He wonders how simple life must be for that dog. "Conniptions, contraptions, confusions, a dog. Have not one relation at all, and yet a dog smiles and wags his tail, I found myself frowning today. For I go about with these three c's and bend them to live comfortably. When they don't work I feel despair, and wonder what I'm doing here, but a dog has no means or mindset to see, the complex nature of these three c's. In his eyes are only two colours yellow and blue, that doesn't bother him, he's happy of course, but in my eyes, I haven't counted, and the thing is…..my world hurts." He says with deep gloom. He sighs, "if only I were a dog." He ponders. He laughs. He's not Dovin, he's human. This human has reached his destination, home. He says his greetings to whoever and they return in kind. He looks in a mirror "I am not Dovin. I'm ailing, Dovin is not. I think I just found a new role model." He looks in the mirror, and laughs.
