The insurmountable pain of an awaiting hell,

A paranoia that your mind is sick

And your body is sick

And you heart is shattered

And your tongue blistered.

You feel it, you see it, but no one else does

You claw and howl and groan and weep

But your sounds go unheard

And your wounds unhealed

And your mind still in shambles.

Hell, Hell, what are you waiting for?

Take me to the Devil, the Demon himself.

But you know you can't go and you know it's impossible.

Your heart is still dark

Your mind still invaded by the monster you seek.

You know you can't break the cage;

You stop trying to.
